On Spring Break…in Antigua
The last few months have been whirlwind including a graduation, a 30th birthday, a few home sales…and oh did I forget to mention my 9 to 5 job? That being said, tomorrow I am off to Antigua for a much needed R&R. I promise to be back soon with tons of new outfit posts and a golden tan.
Till then you can find me on twitter, instagram, and facebook! Have a wonderful week.

Blogger Confession: I fear city biking…
As a city girl, many of you would be surprised that I have a serious fear of riding bikes. It’s not that I am a bad rider, I mainly fear those terrible city drivers. I have used Capital Bikeshare maybe once in my life and in heels might I add, so that should tell you enough.

I finally decided that it was time to face my fears and invest in a more environmentally friendly way of travel around town. As a birthday present to myself, in March I purchased this gorgeous townie cruiser from REI. It is the perfect bike for me (sexy and practical) but has still remained completely unused in the center of my living room. My goal is ride is someday in the (near) future of course. Until then, any tips on city cruising are much appreciated.
For those new readers out there, blogger confessions is an intimate series created by myself and a few other bloggers a couple of months back. Through Blogger Confessions, we hope to capture the multifaceted lives that many bloggers live in, but sometimes is not highlighted in our blogs. You can view my last two confessions here and here.

Pastel Blues
The weather this weekend called for light attire – step in lace and pastel blue skirt. With the finicky DC weather lately, this beautiful skirt has been sitting in my closet for what seems like ages! I was happy to finally bring it out to play, especially since I am madly in love with the shape, cut, and color. Hope you’re Monday is off to a pleasant start.

H4FL Shopping Tips: Forever 21
First, I must admit that I have a love-hate relationship with Forever 21. The love part of my relationship consist of affordable finds, on-trend pieces, and lots of variety. My hate relationship consists of small sizing, buying things I don’t really need, and questionable quality. But more often than I’d like to admit, I find myself bringing home some real gems.
These gems don’t just fall into your lap, you have to work for them. That being said, several readers have continued to ask me “How did you find that at Forever 21? I never have good luck like you”. The real secret…it’s not luck, you just have to do a little research.
To make your shopping experience a little more efficient and worthwhile, I thought it would be fun to share some of my top-secret tips for shopping at Forever 21:
1. Read the Forever 21 Skinny Blog for designer collaborations (like Rory Becca), outfit inspiration, and information on new season arrivals.

2. Shop by “Feature”. Check out the “Top Rated” and “Back in Stock” section of the site. Here you will find tons of reviews and popular finds. I try not to buy anything without a good review. You can also Shop by Outfit here.
3. I am a huge fan of Love 21, which is their more classic and refined line. Love 21 sizing runs slightly larger, which in my opinion is a HUGE plus because that makes them really true-to-size.
4. Never pay shipping. You can always return something at the store and keep the store credit. They have tons of good gift ideas to help you get to that fifty dollar mark.
5. Recently, they have further categorized items on their site. It use to be a nightmare to attempt to find anything but now it’s much more organized. For example, under necklaces, you will find even finer categories like: Bead, Chain, Bib/Collar, Studs & Spikes.
6. Always refer to items that you have seen on other blogs. If they don’t provide the link, do a little more research to find what you are looking for. Don’t give up!
7. Mix high and low pieces. For example, pair your expensive blazer with a F21 chiffon top or skirt. I love mixing my F21 pieces with something from Zara and other stores.
8. Most importantly…have FUN! Shopping should never be stressful, but when you’re spending hard earned cash, make sure you’ve done your homework:)
Happy Shopping!
