Friday Favorite {The Spicer}

Thought I would share with you a new favorite, Vince Camuto’s Spicer Sandal. They are perfectly versatile and the gilded toe plate is the perfect pop of gold.

Showers of Love

Last Friday, I had the lovely pleasure of attending Apollina’s bridal shower. All the details were exceedingly tasteful and classy thanks to her creative sister, Aisha.  Thank you Apollina for sharing this joyous occasion with me, Rosa, and Katalina. You are truly a special friend and I am so lucky to know you.

P.S. Can you tell I have a new thing for fun fonts?

Fresh White

{Zara Top, H&M Jeans, Me Too Sandals, Anthropologie Purse, F21 Earrings}

Happy Monday lovely readers. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was short and sweet packed with Apollina’s lovely bridal shower, my graduation, a birthday, and a mother’s day barbeque. Below is what I wore to the bridal shower, a fresh pair of white jeans and a new lace top. White jeans are a total necessity this summer, so be sure you’ve got yourself a good pair.

Timeless Classics

I’m a big believer in investing in classic pieces that are both timeless and chic, withstanding the ever-changing trends of fashion. As an early graduation present, I recently treated myself to this purse. My MBA graduation ceremony is tomorrow and it’s still hard to believe this day has finally come.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Scalloped Metal

When it comes to necklaces, I have a serious weakness (seen here, here, and here). This necklace was especially appealing because of the layered plates and scalloped edges. I quickly made it mine, while at the Madewell store last night.

Kaleidoscope

One of my favorite things about May is welcoming bright colors (just in time for summer), like this kaleidoscope printed top I recently found online at Zara. A blush colored pant and spotted wallet complemented the top perfectly.

Scarf Solution

Wearing a printed head scarf was part of my daily routine in Antigua. Not only are they chic and colorful, but also a smart option when you want to keep your hair up and out of your face.

Have a lovely weekend friends.

Maxin’ Out

Maxi dresses are my new thing. They are amazingly comfortable (especially when over-eating on vacations) and completely effortless. I bought this dress from Loehmann’s before my trip, which has already been on repeat several times.

Beach Cover-Ups

The perfect swimsuit layering piece is a beach cover-up. For me, they were an essential packing item for my trip to Antigua. They are comfortable, breathable, and perfect for hot sunny weather.

T.J.Maxx – 1000th Store Opening {Home Decor}

{colorful velvet hangers at TJ Maxx}

As an embarrassingly obsessive Maxxinista, I couldn’t be more ecstatic when I first heard that TJ Maxx was opening a new store in DC (at Metro Center). My love affair with TJ Maxx has been a long and steady one, dating back to my childhood days where I would accompany my mom into the dressing room, with a handful of clothes I wanted to try on. Not to mention, spending too much time in the shoe aisle, trying on shoes that were way too big for me. Now that I’m a grown-up city gal, TJ Maxx has everything one would need.

Since I was in Antigua and unable to attend the media preview, I was most excited to check out their home section upon my arrival!  Ever since I moved to the city, TJ Maxx and Home Goods have been my go-to sources for budget home decor. Make sure to visit soon (if you already haven’t) because I plan on being there on a regular basis.
